Markets watchdog Sebi on Tuesday decided to increase the reward amount for informants to a maximum of Rs 10 crore under the prohibition of insider trading regulations. The regulator's board, which met on Tuesday, approved amendments to the Sebi (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015. The changes are aimed at streamlining the process of reward payment and to enhance the quantum of reward under the informant mechanism.

The Reserve Bank is expected to go for another rate hike of 0.40 per cent at the scheduled review of the monetary policy next week, a foreign brokerage said on Friday. The auction for the 5G spectrum is likely to take place around April-May next year, Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday. The Reserve Bank may be hitting the end of its tolerance for high inflation and will most likely hike interest rates in the first half of 2022, analysts said on Friday. The central bank will also start rolling back its accommodative policies which have led to easy liquidity conditions, they said.
